About Klaus Jones

Surfer/Shaper
Located in Southern California

“Surfed my first wave in 1967. Starting shaping in ’73. Board design was changing rapidly, and in order to stay current, I began to shape my own boards. I shape Hulls because of their unique feel, speed and effortless glide which, for me, provides the pure joy of riding a wave.”

La Máquina

Esteban worked his own set of dynamics into the boards he surfed over 4 decades, this shape and size range reflects those dynamics and intentions. This template is born of an all or nothing mentality when it comes to drawing lines across waves, facilitating maximum glide speed, rider/water connectivity.

Sizes: 6’6″ to 7’2″ – Single Fin

Siglo

The Siglo is not for the slow minded or those weak of limb. This pygmy pod is tailored for maximum velocity, trim speed, flex, and fit. a very fast ship built for stout hearted riders to make it in, around, and out of harm’s way in one very long potentially curvaceously connected line. Steve Krajewski – Alex Kopps – Jones collaborative formula.

Sizes: 5’10” to 6’6″ – Single Fin

Total Involvement

Total Involvement

These are the boards that started it all. They broke the straight line and made it possible to surf closer to the curl, starting what the Aussies referred to as “total involvement” which spanned from 1967 to 1970. These boards are slightly updated to give you more drive and maneuverability around the pocket without losing glide.

Sizes: 6’10” to 7’6″ – Single Fin

Missing Link - Esteban Bojorquez

Missing Link

The shortboard revolution.

I began stripping the glass off longboards and re-shaping them down to 8′.

Always maintaining a longboard aesthetic, neutral rails, natural rocker, a full outline and surfing with a smooth trim style.

I was soon coined The Missing Link.  My personal evolution had begun.
